VELOX monolithic ceilings are key elements of ribs formed using PERI slab elements.

  • Ceiling element's basic dimensions: length l = 2000 mm, width 500 mm = b1, b2 = 380 mm
  • Module dimensions: length 1830, 1660, 1500, 1330, 1000, 660, 500, 330 mm, width 330 mm = b1, b2 = 180 mm
  • Choice of its application depends on the range, payload, ceiling object quality concrete and reinforcement content
  • Reinforcement ribs are ceiling VELOX spatial steel beams, respectively.
  • Coupled Reinforcement every two meters, i.e. at the connection of ceiling elements for greater spatial bracing object transverse ribs
  • Deployment supports - under the front contact elements
VELOX ribbed monolithic ceilings

Ceilings created with monolithic reinforced concrete ceiling cassette (non-standard elements)

  • Used for ceilings with 'special use' (concert halls, theaters, etc.)
  • Transverse ribs are positioned in axial distances of 500, 660, 1000, 1330, 1500, 1660, 1830, 2000 mm
  • Choice of application depends on the range, payload ceiling of the building, the quality of the concrete and reinforcement content
  • Reinforcing ribs bonded reinforcement supports deployment by the length of the ceiling element

If you decide to build a ceiling using VELOX WSL boards as permanent formwork for a reinforced concrete monolithic slab ceiling, you might be interested in the following information:

  • They can be used only with reinforced concrete floor slab reinforcement according to the static calculation.
  • The axial distance support formwork panels with a thickness of concrete slabs up to 200 mm, 660 mm.
  • Compared ceilings made of prefabricated box-shaped ceiling conserves material, but uses more concrete.
  • The advantage is a good thermal and acoustic insulation ceiling.
  • Typical features and elements with a height of 260 mm are made to order.

  • To build ceiling construction, where casing is consisting of timber-cement VELOX ceiling elements (are put between each blocks for casing and thus create reinforcement of ceiling rib)
  • To reinforce supporting over doors and window lintels
  • Diameter of rods of down reinforcement is set so that the girder has constant load-carrying capacity
  • Steel R 10 505


  • Used to ensure the verticalness of walls
  • They are placed, depending on requirements, inside the formwork ( normally every 2 m, or either side of openings)
  • They are manufactured from high quality steel 10505 and are available in lengths of 2,800, 3,000, 3,200 and 4,000 mm

  • Used with ceiling modules to reinforce rib ceilings (placed between each ceiling module spanning from supporting wall to wall)
  • Used for reinforcement above openings (doors/windows)
  • Door/windows overlapping the clear span by 150mm either side)

Velox boards have optimal sound insulating properties. Interior sound is echo-free and exterior sound is extremely well insulated. Velox is often employed specifically for its sound insulation – as noise barriers near motor- ways for example.

FIRE RESISTANT
Velox is naturally flame retardant and boasts excellent fire resistance. In tests according to the ÈSN 73 0862 classification of the flammable levels of building materials Velox achieved a 'B' grade - 'hardly flammable'.
