WALLS:
Vertical structures in buildings must carry heavy loads safely. Loads resulting from the structure's own weight, ceilings, roof and wind pressure as well as shock loads from the internal and external environment.
An equally important requirement is fire resistance, good heat and sound insulation and heat accumulation. Also important is non-absorbability and water resistance, while maintaining breathability, and finally another important factor is the attractive appearance, durability and ease of maintenance of the building.
Static properties of the VELOX building system depend on the resistance of the concrete core, which transmits all vertical loads. The VELOX Custom shuttering plates together with the perimeter walls serve as thermal insulation. The internal load-bearing walls contribute to the improvement of sound insulation. Other properties of the boards (fire resistance, adhesion of plasters, non-absorbability, and breathability) give the walls their unquestionable quality.
- Good heat and sound insulating properties
- High tensile strength and flexibility
- Excellent adhesion of concrete and plaster
- Simple and solid nailing plates
- Shock resistance from 50 mm
- Healthy and hygienic
- Resistant to animals and plant pests
- Good fire resistance

The VELOX reveal strips are precisely cut to 50mm thickness and are used to create the horizontal and vertical door and window jambs in supporting walls.
The lane width varies according to the choice and composition of the wall and is determined by the thickness of the fill between the Velox boards. For example, the combined thickness of the concrete core and expanded polystyrene.

Structure of fixing ties with welded crossbars.
They ensure fixation of board position in outside and inside casing of walls, also serving to lay and join of each casing board on each other in vertical position of both coating.
- Produced from tow wire and made of steel 11 343, Velox building ties have a diameter of between 4 and 5 mm, including welding. They fulfill the required strength in tow 540 MPa
- Standard surface treatment is applied under the plaster
- The width of the ties vary and depends on the combination of each layer of a wall
- When used without plaster, it is possible to paint the surface with a special treatment.

Available ties according to shape and usage:
One side ties - Usually laid in the bottom level of the first layer of casing, at ceiling level, on the inside of supporting walls and when windowsills are built.
Both-side ties - Placed frequently when laying and tieing each board of wall.
Ceiling ties - Placed on the same level as ceiling, the ceiling tie is laid on the peripheral, supporting wall with one end of the tie on inside the casing and the other one on the already drilled holes of connecting boards where it is fixed, with nails, on the end eye.
Tow ties - Run through pre-drilled holes in the center of the end eye of the outside boards and inside boards of casing. The end eye is fixed with nails. When using VELOX WS boards, it is recommended that you use 2 or 3 rows of casing boards so that the strength of the casing will increase during the concreting of the whole floor.

Soundproofing of non-bearing VELOX partition walls are intended for use in rooms where the requirement for sound insulation is a minimum of 42 dB. Partition walls are created by a combination of two VELOX WS 25 boards sandwiching acoustic mineral wool.
A standard partition board's size is 2000 x 500 x 100 mm.
VELOX Partition boards can be used in any of the building systems currently available. Installation of partition walls starts by marking individual walls and openings. After the walls, floors and ceilings are marked, UW profiles 100 mm are fixed using suitable fasteners. For better sound insulation, it is possible to lay the profiles onto foam insulation tape. VELOX partition boards are then fitted into these profiles and adhered by low expanding polyurethane foam.
The openings for windows/doors are framed again by UW 100 profiles. Lintel opening is also formed by using profile UW 100. Partition boards are laid in a brick pattern with a minimum overlap of 600 mm. For structural reasons, we recommend solid walls (without openings) to be supported every 5 meters with two UW 100 profiles with inserted insulation tape in between.
Surface treatment is recommended to perform in accordance with the design schedule (plasterboard or plaster) in thickness min. 15mm.

WALL STRUCTURES:
It is possible to build passive houses thanks to the excellent properties of VELOX building systems.
The overall concept of a passive house must take into account the need for consistently low energy consumption making VELOX an ideal solution.
The low demand for heating of houses built with VELOX technology are the result, not only of the excellent thermal insulation properties of walls with optional insulation of up to 200 mm, but also the accumulation and thus the thermal inertia of the walls several times higher than conventional building materials.
This combination allows you to accumulate heat from sunlight through glazed areas during the day and in the evening return it back into the living space. This has a reverse effect in the summer where accumulated evening and night time cold air helps maintain a pleasant room temperature without additional air conditioning.
When referring to VELOX building systems, the term "standard" does not represent anything other than top quality and excellent features. This of course also applies to the components of a standard wall.
